Not just Kilimanjaro but the cumulative equivalant of climbing Mount Everest 1 and 1/4 times or climbing to the top of the Empire State Building 25 times
Welcome to my Kilimanjaro charity challenge web site in support of the Katy Holmes Trust raising money to fund the research into paediatric brain tumours.
The site has been designed to provide you with details of my challenge in June 2013 to climb Mount Kilimanjaro the world’s highest free standing mountain in Africa standing at 5985m or 19341 ft above sea level and details of the very worthwhile cause I am raising money for in memory of Katy who died so tragically of a childhood brain tumour at the age of 10 in January 2012
Along the route to the summit of Kilimanjaro I will be climbing the 3 Yorkshire peaks followed by the 3 peaks of the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales which means a cumlative hight of over 36000 ft which is 1 and 1/4 times as high as Mount Everest or the equivelant of climbing the Empire State Building 25 times. Before I seet off for Kilimanjaro I will be on a campaign trail to raise as much support and funding along the way. You can keep up to date with my training as I prepare myself for this great challenge by follow my blog and see how my fund raising activities are going by visiting my sponsor’s page you can even donate to this cause by following the link to my justgiving web page belowe
Please enjoy this brief but informative site and if you are feeling generous please do give what you can towards this worthwhile and very important fund and help reduce the number of childhood deaths associated with brain tumours

Making a donation
There are two easy ways to donate to this very worthwhile but understated cause, you can:
-
click on the link to my just giving webpage https://www.justgiving.com/Mark-Maynard1 and make a simple donation anywhere between £1 and £1000 or more if you can afford it
-
You can make a donation by texting KMAN61 to 70070 again this can be anything from £1 to £1000 or more
Either way however you decide to donate, and I really hope you do, don't forget to choose Gift Aid which allows the charity to claim full tax relief and increases the value on your donation for example if you donate £10.00 it will actually be worth £12.50 to the charity
Every single penny raised through this challenge goes to fund research into childhood cancerous tumours please please help, it really can save lives and reduce the ammount of suffering that parents go through once their child has been diagnosed with this cruel illness
